Great White

Objects of lasting consequence.

Version 1.1.2Cinematic luxury house and editorial gallery

Quick start

  1. In Shopify admin, open Online Store → Themes.
  2. Upload the Great White theme ZIP and keep it unpublished while you configure it.
  3. Open the theme editor, add your logo, colors, typography, navigation, products, and collections.
  4. Preview the storefront on desktop and mobile, then test product variants, cart actions, search, and checkout links.
  5. Publish only after your store content, policies, shipping, payments, and domain are ready.

Installation

Upload the original ZIP without extracting it. Shopify installs the theme into the theme library. Configuration and merchant content remain store-specific and are not included in the ZIP.

Before publishing, duplicate the configured theme to create a rollback copy.

Signature features

  • Portal-style cinematic hero
  • Asymmetric gallery collections
  • Craft, private appointment, journal, manifesto, and curation sections
  • Editorial object-story product pages

Customization

Brand settings

Use Theme settings to configure brand colors, typography, logo, social links, layout styling, and product-card behavior.

Header and navigation

Create menus in Shopify admin under Content → Menus, then connect them in the Header and Footer sections. Keep mobile labels concise and verify nested menus at narrow widths.

Home page

Build the narrative with the Portal Hero, Curation, Craft, Appointment, Journal, and Manifesto sections. Use restrained copy and consistent editorial imagery to preserve the luxury pacing.

Products and collections

Add complete product media, descriptions, prices, inventory, variants, vendor, product type, and search-engine information. Configure collection filters and sorting in Shopify Search & Discovery where applicable.

Frequently asked questions

Is the appointment section a booking system?

No. It is a presentation and call-to-action section. Link it to a merchant-owned contact page or compatible booking service.

How should images be prepared?

Use high-resolution portrait and landscape images with consistent lighting. Set focal points in Shopify when important details need to remain visible across breakpoints.

Can I add an app block?

Yes. Product and featured-product sections support Shopify app blocks and Custom Liquid insertion points.

Recommended testing

  • Desktop and mobile navigation
  • Product variants and quantities
  • Add to cart, cart updates, and removal
  • Search, collection filtering, and pagination
  • Contact forms and newsletter forms
  • Keyboard navigation and visible focus states

Troubleshooting

Products are missing: confirm the selected collection contains active products available to the Online Store sales channel.

Images look cropped: adjust the section image ratio or focal point and use consistently sized source images.

A menu is empty: select the intended menu in the Header or Footer settings.
